Compare two data files by a stable key

Compare CSV, Excel or JSON snapshots and inspect added, removed or changed fields without relying on row order.

Prepare the input

Choose the earlier export first and the later export second. Match on an order ID or SKU that exists on both sides; sorting by name is not a substitute for a stable key.

What to check in the output

Change one stock value without changing its SKU. The report identifies the field, the earlier value and the later value. Check duplicate keys separately before treating a difference as a real change.

Before using the result

The report describes differences between the inputs. It cannot tell whether a change was intentional or which upstream system is authoritative.
