Validate a CSV or Excel file before import

Find missing fields, duplicate keys and questionable dates in a spreadsheet, with row references for correction.

Prepare the input

Choose which headers are required and what makes a record unique. A product file might require SKU and price; an address file might need a postal code instead.

What to check in the output

Start with a deliberately duplicated identifier. Read the reported row and source value, correct the source file, then run the same check again.

Before using the result

Passing the selected checks does not establish that a price, address or customer record is correct. Only the rules you selected are tested.
