Worked example
For a proposal in review, place DRAFT in the center of pages 2-5 and leave the cover unchanged. Try one page first to make sure the mark stays visible over both photographs and white space.
Does a watermark protect the PDF from reading or copying?
A watermark communicates status; it does not restrict opening the file or remove underlying content. Use Protect PDF to require a password, or Redact PDF to remove sensitive details.
