Worked example
Start with List fields to discover the actual names, types, pages and choices in the form. If the field name is Client, enter {"Client":"Alex Morgan"} in Fill fields. Use JSON true or false for a checkbox.
Can I fill a blank drawn line on a scanned form?
A printed line is not a native field. Create a named text field at that location first, or use Edit PDF for a one-off text overlay. Read-only fields, XFA forms and scripted calculations are not supported.
