Worked example
For a statement with grid lines around every row and column, start with Ruled tables. Spot-check a row containing a negative amount or a wrapped description. If there are no visible grid lines, try Text lines instead.
Will the converter recognize scanned cells or infer formulas?
It uses the PDF’s text and table geometry. It neither recognizes image-only numbers nor reconstructs spreadsheet formulas. Text lines mode gives you one source line per row to reorganize in Excel.
