Worked example
For a finished visual record, keep the original and make a separate archival copy. Compare fine print at normal reading size: each page is rasterized at 160 DPI, so text is no longer selectable.
Does the result come with independent PDF/A validation?
The tool checks the generated profile and output intent, not full independent conformance. If the recipient requires validation, run their approved validator. Links, forms, attachments and signatures do not survive the flattening step. The limit is 60 pages.
